Cool Breeze Summary, Laguna Hills & Training Plan

Athletes,

For those that ran the Cool Breeze Invitational, the race provided an opportunity to experience the type of high level meet we hope to be competing in later in the season. All of you can take lessons from your experience on the fairways of Brookside Country Club. Coach Eisele and I are proud of the efforts you put out there in the race and in your training.

Going forward, over the next two months, our training will become more intense as we take our team to the next level. This will require you, the athlete, to do your part in taking care of yourself (eating/hydrating well, stretching, attending practice, and getting rest) and approaching your racing/training with an "elite" mentality. As you've heard me say before, doing great things isn't easy, otherwise everyone would do them! We are asking all those that train with us to approach cross country with this mentality.

Please note the schedule for the Laguna Hills meet on the training plan and let your parents know that parking can be an issue, so they should plan to be at Laguna Hills High School at least an 1.5 hours before your race time.

Keep running,
Coach Horton

P.S. For those running Varsity at Woodbridge (currently Amy V, Belle, & Chandler w/final two spots TBD after Laguna Hills) we will be racing at 8:54 p.m.)
